Alumni Association
The association of the alumnae of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing is called Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Alumni Association. This is an independent association of those who have had nursing education from this institution. The association was born on 30th May, 2017.
Aim
The primary objective of the alumni association is to perpetuate friendships and promote professional relationships among the present and past alumni and thus enhance the growth and development of its Alma Mater.
Objectives
- To promote, strengthen and foster the professional relationship among the present and past students of LMCN
- To bring the old students of LMCN and LMIN under one forum for exchange of experience, dissemination of knowledge and talents amongst its members
- Establish a sense of spirit-de-corps among the members
- Maintain effective communication network among the old students and the institution
- Provide opportunities to meet periodically and share the experience of the members
- Encourage institutional loyalty and work towards educational excellence
- Uphold the dignity of the profession and maintain professional standards
- Provide financial assistance to needy members for educational activities
- To communicate the ongoing activities to the alumni all over the world
- To encourage the students to cherish an abiding affection and interest in the Alma Mater and to contribute actively to her progress
- To develop funds for the benefit of the association through donations, contributions, aids, membership fees and subscriptions
- Provide merit awards to rank holders
- Promote nursing excellence in clinical practice, education, leadership, research
- To organize seminars, workshop, conferences, discussions among the various issues in nursing
- To bring out publications for the fulfillment of objectives of the association

Activities of Alumni Association
Christmas - 2018
The joy of Christmas was celebrated with the inmates of Cheshire Home by the Alumni Association of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing on 15th Dec 2018.
The birth of baby Jesus was relieved by cutting a cake, singing carols, holding games and Santa Claus distributing presents to all. The inmates were filled with joy as a sparkle of hope enkindled in their hearts. The programme culminated with the distribution of refreshments.
