Student Nurses Association, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing organized Christmas celebration on 09th December 2022 at 9.30 am in the A.J Auditorium Mangalore.
Programme began with an invocation by 1st year GNM (N) students. The gathering was welcomed by Ms. Ashley of 2nd year B.Sc(N).
Students from 2nd-year BS.c (N) performed a Christmas skit followed by the inauguration of the Christmas was done by Dr. Larissa Martha Sams Principal, Dr. Theresa Leonilda Mendonca Vice principal by placing the baby Jesus in the crib.
Investiture Ceremony: The newly elected SNA Office bearer for the academic year 2k22- 2k23 were called out on the dias and they were conferred with slash by a respected Principal. The Oath taking ceremony was led by Mrs. Sofiya Riyana, SNA Advisor LMCN. The Office bearers and class representatives pledged to work earnestly and uphold the honor and glory of the institution. Principal Dr. Larissa Martha Sams congratulated the newly elected Office bearers and wished them to solemnly take on their duties and responsibilities with utmost dedication and diligence. She motivated the members of the student council to keep up the good spirit despite of all the obstacles and challenges that life brings in front of them. And also she addressed the gathering are inspired the students with a Christmas message.
Cake-cutting ceremony was done by the Principal, Vice Principal, HOD and all the staffs. The students showcased their talents through various performances including Christmas carols, nativity scenes, and Christmas dances. Meanwhile, Santa surprised the crowd with his arrival along with a flash mob displayed by the 4th-year BSc students. The students of 1st-year BS.c Nursing performed a Christmas skit and gave a message of true Christmas.
Games were conducted for students by Ms. Delcy Anora and Ms. Anjali of 4th-year B.Sc Nursing. Prizes were distributed at the end of the program to the winners of the games. On the occasion of Xmas day crib making, card-making, and star-making competitions were held on 7/12/2022 at LMET auditorium. The winners of these competitions were awarded mementos and certificates. Ms. Ashely and Ms. Neeha compered the programme. The program came to an end with the institutional anthem.
