The department of Obstetrical And Gynecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing department of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing in association with Government Lady Goschen Hospital observed World health day on 11th April 2023 at Government Lady Goschen Hospital Mangalore under the theme, ‘’HEALTH FOR ALL’’
Dr. Durga Prasad M.R., Medical Superintendent, Government Lady Goschen hospital was the chief guest for the day, he emphasized on importance of ‘’LAKSHYA’’ and its success. Dr. Larissa Martha Sams, Principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, presided over the programme and she stressed on the theme ‘’health for all’’, she also highlighted how well could manage stress -full life. Dr. Balakrishna Rao resident medical officer, Mrs. Thressiamma, Nursing Superintendent , Government Lady Goschen hospital, Dr. Sandhya d Almeida, professor and HOD (OBG) and Dr. Jenifer D’Souza, professor and HOD(CHN) were present for the programme.
Interactive Sessions with activities were organized for the delegates. Dr. Mona Jacqueline Mendonca, Asst. Professor, department of history, St. Aloysius College Mangalore and Dr. Sonia R B D’Souza, Professor and HOD, OBG department, Manipal College of nursing were the resource persons. Dr. Sandhya D Almeida delivered vote of thanks. The whole programme was compered by Mrs. Ashwini 1st year M.sc.(N) .About 80 members were present for the programme.
